In 2003, SUN established a fee-for-service program with two goals – to assist public, private, and non-profit clients working on urban restoration projects, and provide additional financial support to the organization.
Ecological Services
- Site vegetation inventories
- Surveys of invasive species
Use of GPS (global positioning system) for surveying and
mapping areas of interest
Use of
GIS (geographic information system) databases to map, report and analyze conditions in your project area
Vegetation management plans, including recommendations for future action
Assistance in
developing restoration projects, and associated monitoring plans
Assistance with grant proposals
Help in building accountability into restoration

Mapping Services
GIS custom mapping
GIS custom analysis in support of environmental projects in the Puget Sound region (e.g.,
site suitability, gap analysis, proximity analysis, etc.)
Environmental analyses needed by municipalities or non-profits to serve a larger vision of environmental
geography and conservation.
Training Services
Provide field training to staff or volunteers
Assist your organization in
setting up restoration projects
Produce maps and reports for public use
